Consulted with my gynae and we decided to talk the pill route – mifi & cytotec. No D&C, non-surgical, no anesthetic, more natural. I took mifi on Dec 2nd, and inserted the 4 cytos on the 4th. After the cyto, I started bleeding. It’s the body’s way to clearing out the uterus wall lining tissues. It was crazy. For the first time on my life, I not stained, but soaked my panties and jeans. I had to scramble to buy new underwear and pants!

After a week of bleeding, I thought it was done. But no, for whatever reason, my body did not clear out all the clots. This method is supposed to be 95% - 97% effective. Jackpot – I am one of the 3%.

On the 15th, Doc gave me a 2nd dose of cyto, a higher dose this time. 4 to insert, 2 to ingest. Still not much bleeding. In the end, still have to go for a D&C. On 19th, I went to Roopi again.

I am recovering now. Still a little anemic but glad it's all cleared out.

I had a IUD inserted and hopefully, that’s the end of my of it. Well, at least for 5 years.

Shit! I am pregnant again…Max’s. I can’t believe I slipped up again. I am too bloody fertile. It was the 3rd morning after I took Postinor. I thought the Postinor should still work. So mad at myself!

Things You Do Not Want to Find on Facebook

Technology is a two-edged sword. You have all the information of the world at your fingertips, including information you probably would have preferred not to know. I realized why we have been what the big hooha over Timeline was about.

Because Ms Carol Lee’s facebook was migrated to timeline recently, I suddenly have access to all her pictures, even though I wasn’t her friend on FB. All the pictures of her with Mark and his parents in Bali, China, Yogja, Sri Lanka, Phuket – all his trips where he told me he went with his sister.

7 years! This is a bigger lie than Daniel. How I could have been so blind sighted for so long? I am so stupid and naïve! This hurts.

Holidays should not end in melancholy, but mine just did.

Incredible Savings or Slaughtering?

The 6 hours of hell was wll worth it. Cochin to Munnar via private car - 24,000 rupees; Cochin to Munnar via public bus - 81 rupess; the savings - a HELLUVA LOT!!!

Unbelievable Tranquility in India

After 6 hours of hell-ride on an Indian public bus from Cochin to Munnar, I finally made it to this hideout along the hills of Munnar - Kaivalyam Retreat. What a gem? It's quiet, blissful and peaceful (this is pretty amazing, considering I am in India). The air is cool and fresh. I could probably stay here for a week and do absolutely nothing.

There is daily yoga and the organic vegetarian food they serve taste awesome. What a great way for post CNY detox.

A Decade Gone By

If a year passed by in a wink these days, I feel like the past decade has gone by in barely two blinks. After more than 10 years in children book publishing, I am seriously thinking it’s time for a change. The question the begets an answer now is… change to what?
